TRYKA GEARS : Smart in Style | Smart in Functionality
 

TRYKA  Gears is the story of two bikers, who live and breathe bikes AND a designer, who is passionate about new ideas and has a new found love for bikes. The roaring sound of a revving engine , the numbing noise of the exhaust , the sleek manoeuvring on treacherous roads are some of the things that give a high to this riding trio. It was this incredible love for bikes that brought about TRYKA Gears, a start-up that is into building biking (motorcycle and cycle rider) accessories. 

  

As ardent bikers (and now cyclists as well), they experienced many challenging issues on road, particularly related to biker's visibility in foggy weather and dimly lit roads. To make road journeys easier and safer for two-wheeler riders under such dark and hazy conditions became the premise of their first project-Pharos . Also, statistics indicate that a significant percentage of two-wheeler mishaps occur because either the rider is not visible to other road users or  has slipped into a blind spot due to escalating traffic. 

 

With this thought TRYKA Gears launched its first indigenous product -Pharos, a light based wearable device that takes less than a minute to mount on a helmet. Designed to be efficient on other aspects as well, Pharos is  rechargeable, lightweight, portable, rain proof, easy to use and compatible with most helmets.

The company expanded its portfolio to 10+ products over the year 2022. The portfolio has spread across the motorcycle and cycle rider categories.

With an interesting range of products and more in the pipeline, TRYKA Gears is bracing up to cater to the growing needs of the rider community.

The Brand

From the inception, the brand owners wanted a quirky and a forward-looking name that would communicate the brand’s purpose and direction. So, the genesis of TRYKA Gears, which stands for ‘TRY Kool Accessories’ was an effortless one, as it fit perfectly well with the brand’s philosophy to initiate riders to smart accessories for better road journeys. With its smart design and smart functionalities TRYKA Gears, aims to be the brand of choice for all types of riders.

The People
TRYKA Gears was founded in March 2018. 

From a team perspective- TRYKA Gears is managed by its Principal Founder- Abhinandan Roy who is an avid biker and cyclist. He has put more miles on his bikes than on his car and plans to continue doing so. 

 

Riding with his friends over the years, he realised the need for some smart accessories that would make the rides safer and while doing so, would also enhance the personality of the rider. It is with this passion and set of ideas that he would keep scribbling on his notebook, he set about founding the company - TRYKA Gears Private Limited.

In developing these "new to market" products, Abhinandan got all the help he needed from his experienced Co-Founder and also a passionate biker, Lt. Col Prabir K Roy (Retd.). As a Co-Founder he has brought immense value with his experience in the field of electronics development. His business partner, Siddhesh has contributed immensely in development and manufacturing of all the products. The company has its own workshop in Mumbai, where all ideas are first translated into Proof Of Concept versions. It is only then, the product development work is undertaken.

With their common passion for bikes and out-of-the-box thinking, they look forward to enhancing the riding experience of their fellow riders.
